After my European adventure travelling to some amazing places, I have met some of the most amazing people in the world and would do it all over in a heart beat. Currently sitting in my lounge room back in Australia, I realised i hadn't updated you on my last half of my European trip. It was certainly one to remember! Friendships were made that will never be broken, and countdowns to the next time we meet have already started. If I still had money left, fair to say i would probably be back in no time!

Now I knew there was a language barrier, but I never really took into consideration how bad it could actually be.. I'm sorry Europe but yes I am the ignorant english speaking person who didn't bother to learn any foreign language before she left Australia, as she thinks everyone should know at least the basics of english.. Apparently not.. My Apologies Europe! With the Internship done and dusted... I'm now on my next adventure to take over Europe for a month or two. I'll put up how the end of my internship went and my thoughts on everything a bit later on.. but lets just say i'm glad that's over! Now to focus on EUROPE!! Brussels, Belgium; the home of ah-mazzzzing chocolate and beer. Also known for their waffles and fries, and many tourist attractions, some of which i'm not sure why they are famous... they could've just settled for being famous for their Chocolate and Beer. C'mon Brussels you can't have it all.. Before I came to the UK, I always said I would never move to a city.. the "big smoke" didn't appeal to me at all. I was quite content living in a Regional City - nice mix of country and city. Well safe to say my opinion on city life has changed dramatically! Didn't think I would EVER say it, but.. I love the city life! When you come to London, like all tourists - it’s a must do to see all of the iconic sites; Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, London Eye and go to all the little markets. Enjoying the hustle and bustle of the city and trying all the delicacies that the UK has to offer. Welcome to by backyard Before you travel to a different country everybody decides to tell you about all of the stereotypes in the particular city, but of course you give it the benefit of the doubt and gain your own view on the city / country after you leave.. Week 1 done and dusted! For those of you wondering I am still alive, sorry I haven't really been in contact with many.. this time difference makes it very hard! You're getting up when i'm going to bed, so it's a tad challenging at times, but I have been able to chat to family :) So what's happened during this first hectic week?? |
