Before you travel to a different country everybody decides to tell you about all of the stereotypes in the particular city, but of course you give it the benefit of the doubt and gain your own view on the city / country after you leave..
Paris, France.. The city known for its art, fashion, cafe culture and beautiful landmarks / cathedrals.
Apart from the beautiful side - the stereotypes are beyond correct! The French are rude and yes the city of perfume does smell very bad!
All of the stereotypes aside - the city is beautiful, just try not to do it all in a weekend!
Leaving our current residence at 5am to take the 2hr train ride to Paris on the Eurostar, was the quickest ride ever, I was asleep the whole time though - so who really knows how long the actual trip was.
Arriving in Paris, we went straight to the hostel to drop off our bags and got straight into site seeing! First stop - Notre - Dame Cathedral!

The rest of Day 1 compiled of finding the love lock bridge, shopping, eating amazing ice-cream and experiencing the night life of Paris. It had to be the most random night I have ever experienced! From wandering all over Paris trying to decide where to go, getting double shots of tequila at 11:30pm for some strange reason and ending up heading back to the Hostel to drink with other foreigners in the club underneath the hostel! Along with a bunch of other random events that probably shouldn't get mentioned on this.
Day 2 started rather rough after the night we had exploring Paris and club under the Hostel. We decided to pack a lot into the second day and ticked a majority of everything else to do in Paris off the list, we were able to see, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower & The Louvre. I would have loved to climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower, unfortunately we didn't have time to, as we put so much into 2 days.. Just means i'll have to go back!
By the end my feet were killing and hurt to walk as we did so much in two days! As much as I loved the city, I want to go back to sit and enjoy it and do one thing at a time - so i can spend a day just at the Eiffel Tower climbing it and same goes for everything else. The lines for each tourist destination is so long that you need a day to do each one. Fair to say my feet and I were ready for home by the end!
Thanks for a weekend to remember Paris! See you again in the future!
